28Termination of appointment

28 Termination of appointment (1) The Minister may terminate the appointment of a person as an official visitor for inability, inefficiency, misbehaviour or physical or mental incapacity. (2) The Minister must terminate the appointment of a person as an official visitor if: (a) the person is found guilty of an offence of such a nature that it would be inappropriate for the person to continue to be an official visitor; or (b) the person: (i) becomes bankrupt; or (ii) applies to take the benefit of a law for the relief of bankrupt or insolvent debtors; or (iii) compounds with creditors or makes an assignment of the person's remuneration for their benefit. (3) A termination of appointment must be made in writing.
