19ACommissioner to facilitate ICAC access

19A Commissioner to facilitate ICAC access (1) The Commissioner must take all reasonable steps to facilitate access by an ICAC officer to: (a) a correctional services establishment; and (b) a person (including an offender), document or thing under the custody or control of the Commissioner.

Correctional Services Act 2014 14 (2) Despite section 19(2), the Commissioner may refuse to facilitate access as mentioned in subsection (1) only if the Commissioner believes on reasonable grounds that the access would compromise the security or good order of a correctional services establishment or an offender. ICAC officer means: (a) the ICAC; or (b) a member of ICAC staff as defined in section 4 of the Independent Commissioner Against Corruption Act 2017.
