176 Nothing to pass to or from prisoner (a) is a visitor at a custodial correctional facility; and (b) gives a thing to a prisoner; and (2) A prisoner commits an offence if the prisoner: (a) is at a custodial correctional facility; and (b) gives a thing to another person; and

Correctional Services Act 2014 84 (3) Strict liability applies to subsections (1)(a) and (2)(a). (4) Subsections (1) and (2) do not apply if: (a) the person is a priority visitor and the thing is a protected item; or (b) the person is the prisoner's legal practitioner and the thing is a legal item.
