#### 42 Exercise of powers at coronial investigation scene 42 Exercise of powers at coronial investigation scene (cf [Coroners Act 1980](/view/html/repealed/current/act-1980-027), s 23F) > > (1) A police officer or other person may exercise any of the coronial investigation scene powers if— > > > > > (a) a coronial investigation scene has been established, and > > > > > (b) the police officer or other person exercising the power suspects on reasonable grounds that it is necessary to do so to preserve evidence relevant to an investigation by the coroner. > > > (2) A police officer or other person may exercise the coronial investigation scene powers for the period of time specified in the coronial investigation scene order concerned.
