#### 36 State Coroner to inform Ombudsman and others about certain child and disability deaths 36 State Coroner to inform Ombudsman and others about certain child and disability deaths (cf [Coroners Act 1980](/view/html/repealed/current/act-1980-027), s 12A(3A) and (3B)) > > (1) The State Coroner is to provide the Ombudsman with all relevant material held by the State Coroner relating to— > > > > > (a) any death or suspected death of a person in any of the circumstances referred to in section 24(1), or > > > > > (b) any death of a person who is less than 18 years old in the circumstances referred to in section 23(1)(d). > > > (1A) The State Coroner is to provide the Commissioner of the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission under the [National Disability Insurance Scheme Act 2013](http://www.legislation.gov.au/) of the Commonwealth with all relevant material held by the State Coroner relating to any death or suspected death of a person in the circumstances referred to in section 24(1)(e) or (f). > > > (2) The relevant material is to be provided as soon as practicable after— > > > > > (a) a decision is made not to hold an inquest concerning the death or suspected death, or > > > > > (b) if an inquest is held—the conclusion or suspension of the inquest. > > > (3) The requirements of this section are in addition to any requirements of Part 6 of the [Community Services (Complaints, Reviews and Monitoring) Act 1993](/view/html/inforce/current/act-1993-002). > > **s 36:** Am 2019 No 7, Sch 1.2 \[3\]–\[5\]; 2024 No 82, Sch 2.2.
