63 Police assistance
(1) A coroner may, in writing, request the chief police officer for the
assistance of a police officer in an investigation for an inquest or
(2) The chief police officer must, as far as practicable, comply with a
request under subsection (1).
(3) Any act or thing done by a police officer pursuant to subsection (1) is
taken to have been done by or on behalf of the coroner who made the
request.
