33 Assistance at post-mortems etc
(1) This section applies if a coroner—
(a) authorises an ancillary examination; or
(b) makes an order for a post-mortem examination, reinterment or
analysis of ashes; or
(c) issues a warrant for an exhumation of a body or the recovery of
the ashes of a deceased.
(2) The coroner may authorise a person, in writing, to assist in the
ancillary or post-mortem examination, reinterment, exhumation,
analysis or recovery.
(3) A doctor who is authorised to conduct the ancillary examination or
ordered to conduct the post-mortem examination, may authorise a
person, in writing, to assist with the examination.
