15 Control and release of body of deceased
(1) This section applies if—
(a) a death happens in relation to which a coroner is required to hold
an inquest; and
(b) the body of the deceased is in the ACT.
(2) A coroner has control of the body of the deceased until a certificate
authorising its release is given under subsection (3).
(3) A coroner may give a certificate authorising the release of the body
of the deceased if satisfied there is no reason why the body should not
be buried, cremated, or taken out of the ACT for burial or cremation.
