89 Director's supervisory role in audits
(1) The Director may issue directions and guidelines in relation to the conduct of audits under this Division.
(2) An approved auditor must comply with directions issued by the Director under subsection (1).
(3) If the Director is satisfied that an approved auditor has failed to comply with a direction issued under subsection (1), the Director may direct that the auditor no longer examine the trust records of licensees.
(4) The Director must give an approved auditor a reasonable opportunity to make written or oral submissions or both before giving a direction under subsection (3) in relation to the auditor.
(5) A direction under subsection (3) must be published in the Government Gazette, and takes effect on the day it is so published.
