56 Employment of disqualified persons S. 56(1) amended by No. 17/2007 s. 21. (1) Subject to subsection (2), a licensee must not employ a disqualified person to undertake conveyancing work in a conveyancing business. (2) On application by a licensee or a person seeking employment with a licensee, the Authority may grant an exemption from the requirement of this section. (b) require the applicant to provide any further information relating to the application that the Authority thinks fit in the manner required by the Authority; (5) The Authority may refuse to grant an exemption if the applicant does not provide the further information required, or his or her consent for the Authority to obtain that information, within a reasonable time after the requirement is made. (6) The Authority may grant an exemption if it is satisfied that it is not contrary to the public interest for it to do so. (7) Section 32 applies, with any necessary modifications, to an exemption granted under this section as if it were a permission given under Division 7 of Part 2. Division 3—General
