4A Application of powers conferred on protective services officers under this Act (1) Subject to subsection (2), a protective services officer may only exercise the powers under this Act in relation to a person who is at, or in the vicinity of, a designated place. (2) A protective services officer may only exercise the power under section 11B in relation to a person who was at, or in the vicinity of, a designated place at the time of the alleged offence. (3) A protective services officer may only exercise a power conferred by this Act in relation to a designated area if that designated area overlaps with, or is in the vicinity of, a designated place.
