9A Deputy Commissioner (1) The Minister may appoint a public sector employee to be the Deputy Commissioner of Consumer Affairs. (2) Subject to the direction and control of the Commissioner, the Deputy Commissioner may exercise the powers and perform the functions of the Commissioner.
