282 Records to be provided by second-hand dealers
(1) Before accepting goods under a contract a second-hand dealer
must ensure that:
(a) the records specified in or prescribed under section 281 that
are prescribed for the purposes of this section are provided to
the other party to the contract; and
(b) a receipt for the goods and a copy of the receipt are signed
by, or on behalf of, the dealer and the other party to the
contract, and the receipt is given to the other party.
(2) The second-hand dealer must ensure that the receipt and the copy
each bear the original signature of the persons referred to in
subsection (1).
