249 Offence of holding out
(1) A person, other than a person who holds a pawnbroker's licence or
a pawnbroker/second-hand dealer's licence, must not hold himself
or herself out as being, or pretend to be, or make use of any words
or letters or any name, title, abbreviation, or description that implies
or tends to encourage the belief that he or she is, a pawnbroker.
(2) A person, other than a person who holds a second-hand dealer's
licence or a pawnbroker/second-hand dealer's licence, must not
hold himself or herself out as being, or pretend to be, or make use
of any words or letters or any name, title, abbreviation, or
description that implies or tends to encourage the belief that he or
she is, a second-hand dealer.
