166 Dealings with infants
(1) A licensed dealer must not:
(a) purchase or otherwise acquire a second-hand motor vehicle
from a person who is under 18 years old; or
(b) sell or otherwise dispose of a second-hand vehicle to such a
person;
without the consent in writing of that person's parent or guardian.
(2) In proceedings against a dealer for an offence against
subsection (1), it is a defence that the dealer believed, on
reasonable grounds, that the person in question had attained the
age of 18 years.
