165 Roadworthiness on sale of vehicle
(1) Subject to subsection (2), it is a condition of the sale of a motor
vehicle by a dealer that the vehicle is of a standard fit to meet the
requirements of the Motor Vehicles Act 1949 with respect to
registration.
(2) Subsection (1) does not apply to:
(a) a motor vehicle sold for wrecking; or
(b) a motor vehicle sold under a contract in the approved form for
this paragraph that excludes its application.

(3) Additional requirements in relation to a contract under this section
may be prescribed by regulation.
