88 Notification of cancellation of insurance
(1) An insurer commits an offence if—
(a) the insurer provides a policy of insurance to a entity who is, or
is applying to be, licensed in a construction occupation or
occupation class; and
(b) the insurance is required under the regulations for the entity to
be eligible for the licence; and
(c) the insurer cancels the policy of insurance; and
(d) fails to give the registrar written notice of the cancellation within
3 days after the day of cancellation.
(2) An offence against this section is a strict liability offence.
Note In this part, licensee has an extended meaning (see s 89, def licensee).
