44 Damage etc by authorised licensee to be minimised
(1) In the exercise of an authorised action, an authorised licensee must
take reasonable steps to ensure that the licensee, and anyone helping
the licensee, causes as little inconvenience, detriment and damage as
is practicable.
(2) If an authorised licensee, or a person assisting an authorised licensee,
damages anything in the exercise or purported exercise of a function
under this part, the authorised licensee must give written notice of the
particulars of the damage to the person the authorised licensee
believes on reasonable grounds is the owner of the thing.
(3) If the damage occurs on premises entered under this part in the
absence of the occupier, the notice may be given by securing it in a
conspicuous place on the premises.
