120 Further information about complaint etc
(1) The registrar may, at any time, require a complainant to give the
registrar—
(a) further information about the complaint; or
(b) a statement verifying all or part of the complaint.
Note It is an offence to make a false or misleading statement, give false or
misleading information or produce a false or misleading document (see
Criminal Code, pt 3.4).
(2) When making a requirement under this section, the registrar must
give the complainant a reasonable period of time within which the
requirement is to be satisfied and may extend that period, whether
before or after it ends.
(3) If the complainant does not comply with a requirement made of the
complainant under subsection (1), the registrar may, but need not,
take further action in relation to the complaint.
(4) To remove any doubt, this section also applies to a complaint that is
a notice given under the Building Act 2004, section 50 (Notification
by certifier of contraventions of building and development
approvals—building work).
