53 Responsible Minister not required to vacate seat on appointment to office (1) Notwithstanding anything in this Act where a person is appointed by the Governor to be a responsible Minister of the Crown the acceptance by him of the appointment shall not prevent him from becoming a member of the Council or the Assembly or from sitting and voting as a member or if he is a member shall not vacate his seat. (2) If any person accepts more than one of the offices referred to in subsection (1), he shall not receive the salaries of more than one of such offices. No. 6224 s. 23.
