It amends the Conservation and Land Management Act 1984.

Short title1 This is the Conservation and Land Management Amendment2 Act 2025.3
Commencement4 This Act comes into operation as follows —5 (a) sections 1 and 2 — on the day on which this Act6 receives the Royal Assent;7 (b) the rest of the Act — on the day after that day.8
Act amended9 This Act amends the Conservation and Land Management10 Act 1984.11
Section 55 amended12 (1) Delete section 55(1a)(c).13 (2) After section 55(1a) insert:14 15 (1B) The purpose of timber production cannot be prescribed16 under subsection (1a)(e).17 (1C) In subsection (1B) —18 timber production does not include the removal of19 salvaged forest products in circumstances set out in a20 regulation that prescribes the removal of salvaged21 forest products under subsection (1a)(e).22 23
