#### 3 Principal objects 3 Principal objects > The principal objects of this Act are— > > > (a) to deprive persons of the proceeds of, and benefits derived from, the commission of offences against certain laws of the State, and > > > (b) to provide for the forfeiture of property used in or in connection with the commission of such offences or substitutable tainted property, and > > > (c) to enable law enforcement authorities effectively to trace such proceeds, benefits and property, and > > > (d) to provide for the enforcement in the State of forfeiture orders, pecuniary penalty orders and restraining orders made in respect of offences against the laws of other States. > > **s 3:** Am 2016 No 16, Sch 1 \[1\].
