240 Jurisdiction of Magistrates Court—interstate orders
(1) The Magistrates Court has jurisdiction to hear and decide any
proceeding under part 11 (Interstate orders) in relation to a
corresponding law order.
(2) To remove any doubt, the Magistrates Court is a relevant court even
if—
(a) the value of the property and benefits to which the
corresponding order relates is more than the amount the
Magistrates Court may award for a personal action at law; or
(b) title to land was genuinely in question in the proceeding for the
making of the corresponding law order.
