233 Obstruction etc of police officers and people assisting (a) the person knows that, or is reckless about the fact that, a person is a police officer; and (b) the person obstructs, hinders, intimidates or resists the officer in the exercise of the officer’s functions under this part. (2) For this section, it is immaterial whether the defendant was aware that the police officer was exercising the officer’s functions. (3) Strict liability applies to subsection (1) (b).
