222 Copies of seized things to be provided
(1) If the occupier of the premises, or someone else who apparently
represents the occupier, is present at the premises while a search
warrant is executed, the occupier or other person may ask a police
officer who seizes—
(a) a document, film, computer file or other thing that can be readily
copied; or
(b) a data storage device in which the information can be readily
copied;
to give the occupier or other person a copy of the thing or the
information.
(2) The police officer must do so as soon as practicable after the seizure.
(3) However, the police officer is not required to do so if—
(a) the thing was seized under section 219 (Use of electronic
equipment at premises); or
(b) possession by the occupier of the thing or information could be
an offence.
