197 Offence for making false etc statements in search warrant applications A police officer commits an offence if— (a) the police officer makes a statement (whether orally, in a document or in any other way); and (b) the police officer does so knowing that the statement— (ii) omits something that makes the statement false or (c) the statement is made to an issuing officer in relation to an application for a search warrant.
