196 Applications for search warrants—general
(1) A police officer may apply to an issuing officer for a search warrant
to enter premises.
(2) The application must be sworn and state the grounds on which the
warrant is sought.
(3) The issuing officer may refuse to consider the application until the
applicant police officer gives the issuing officer all the information
the issuing officer requires about the application in the way the
issuing officer requires.
