167 Examination orders—application (1) An authorised investigator may apply to a relevant court for an examination order for the investigation for which the investigator is an authorised investigator. (2) The application must state the investigation to which the application relates and the person (or people) the investigator proposes to examine in relation to the investigation. (3) The application may be made only if the authorised investigator has reasonable grounds for suspecting that the person (or people) can give the investigator information or documents, including property- tracking documents, (or both) in relation to the investigation for which the investigator is an authorised investigator.
