134 Distribution of surplus funds (1) For section 132 (2) (Purposes of trust fund), the Minister must, at least once in each financial year, decide the amount of distributable funds available for payment from the trust fund. (2) The Minister may approve the use of part or all of the decided amount for any of the following purposes: (a) the enforcement of territory laws; (b) criminal justice activities; (c) crime prevention; (d) assistance to victims of crime; (e) the prevention of drug abuse; (f) the rehabilitation of drug users; (g) a purpose prescribed by regulation relating to law enforcement or drug rehabilitation and education. (3) An approval is a notifiable instrument. Note A notifiable instrument must be notified under the Legislation Act.
