40O Offences (1) A person who is given a notice under section 40K must not, without reasonable excuse, fail to give the declaration of property interests required by that notice to a police officer within 14 days after the notice is given to the person. (2) A person who is given a notice under section 40M must not, without reasonable excuse, fail to give the declaration of property interests required by that notice to a police officer within 28 days after the notice is given to the person. (3) A person who is given a notice under section 40K or 40M must not make a statement in the declaration of property interests required by that notice that is false or misleading in a material particular.
