21AOmbudsman may initiate investigation

#### 21A Ombudsman may initiate investigation (1) The Ombudsman may, on his or her own initiative: (a) undertake an investigation of the actions of an AFP appointee; or (b) refer any matter relating to the actions of an AFP appointee (other than a procedural matter) to the Investigation Division for investigation. (2) In this section: > actions of an AFP appointee includes actions taken by the appointee before the commencement of this section. > procedural matter means a matter that, in substance, relates to the practices and procedures of the Australian Federal Police.
