23 Exemptions while registration application pending

(1) While an application for registration of a companion animal (including an application required by clause 24) is pending, the animal is exempt from sections 9, 10, 10B, 51 (1) (k) and 56 (1) (h) of the Act.

(2) An application is pending from the time the application is properly made to the Departmental Chief Executive or a registration agent and any registration fee payable for registration of the animal is paid until the animal is registered pursuant to the application.
