Commonwealth legislation
The Australian Broadcasting Authority authorises one community radio service for the Tenterfield licence area and prescribes technical parameters and coverage. The plan names a Mount Mackenzie transmitter site and gives an interim specification (107.5 MHz, up to 100 kW ERP) that will be replaced by a permanent specification (89.7 MHz, up to 4 kW ERP), plus antenna height and polarisation.
This affects the licensed community broadcaster (who must install and operate to these specifications and minimise signal overspill), listeners in the named ABS collection districts across NSW and adjacent QLD districts, and neighbouring licence areas that might receive spill.
