27Application of Division

### 27 Application of Division > > (1)  Subject to [subsection (2)](#GS27@Gs2@EN) , this Division applies to a reportable offender who is required to comply with the reporting obligations imposed by this Part. > > > (2)  This Division does not apply to a reportable offender who is required to comply with those obligations for the remainder of his or her life as a result of being found guilty of – > > > > > > (a) an offence under [section 158 of the](/view/html/inforce/2026-04-12/act-1924-069#JS1@GS158@EN) [Criminal Code](/view/html/inforce/2026-04-12/act-1924-069) ; or > > > > > > > (b) an offence under a law of a foreign jurisdiction the elements of which, if they had occurred in Tasmania, would have constituted an offence of the kind referred to in [paragraph (a)](#GS27@Gs2@Hpa@EN) .
