Plain English Summary

1/10 complexity

This regulation updates the public holidays for Commonwealth government employees in Victoria, Western Australia and Tasmania.

It makes a simple swap to the holiday calendar:

Removes: The "Day following Boxing Day" as a public holiday
Adds: "Monday, 24th December" as a public holiday

This changes which specific days public servants in these three states receive as paid days off. The amendment modifies Regulation 63 of the Commonwealth Public Service Regulations, which sets out the official holiday schedules for different states.
