Tasmania act
This Act ratifies a written Commonwealth–State statistical agreement, makes it lawful for the State to have entered that agreement and authorises the Premier to take steps to give it effect (s3, sch.1). It preserves the Office of Government Statistician under the agreement (s6) and requires annual payments of £55 for 13 years from Consolidated Revenue to Lyndhurst Falkiner Giblin (s4). The law therefore fixes who pays, who may act to implement the agreement, and that the statistician’s office continues subject to the agreement.
