#### 37C Deciding application 37C Deciding application > > (1) The Authority may accredit a medical practitioner as an attending medical practitioner if the Authority is satisfied of the following— > > > > > (a) that the application is made in accordance with this division, > > > > > (b) any other matter prescribed by the regulations. > > > (2) The Authority must refuse to accredit a medical practitioner as an attending medical practitioner— > > > > > (a) if the Authority is not satisfied of the matters specified in subsection (1), or > > > > > (b) in any other circumstances prescribed by the regulations. > > > (3) Subsection (2) does not limit the grounds on which the Authority may refuse to accredit a medical practitioner as an attending medical practitioner. > > > (4) The Authority is not required to decide an application for accreditation as an attending medical practitioner if— > > > > > (a) the Authority is not satisfied as to the identity of the applicant, or > > > > > (b) the applicant fails, without reasonable excuse, to provide any relevant document or information requested by the Authority. > > **s 37C:** Ins 2024 No 16, Sch 1\[43\].
