37A Attending medical practitioners must be accredited

37A Attending medical practitioners must be accredited

(1) A person must not carry out an activity as, or exercise a function of, an attending medical practitioner unless the person is accredited as an attending medical practitioner by the Authority.

Maximum penalty—50 penalty units.

(2) A promoter for a combat sport contest must not engage a person to be present, in the capacity of an attending medical practitioner, at a weigh-in for the contest or at the contest unless the person is accredited as an attending medical practitioner by the Authority.

Maximum penalty—

(a) for an individual—500 penalty units, or

(b) otherwise—1000 penalty units.
