23 Application for registration as industry participant or promoter
> > (1) An individual may apply to the Authority to be registered as an industry participant or promoter for a specified registration class or classes.
>
> > (1A) A corporation may apply to the Authority to be registered as a manager or promoter for a specified registration class or classes.
>
> > (2) The application must—
> >
> > > (a) be in the approved form, and
> >
> > > (b) specify 1 or more classes in which the applicant is applying to be registered, and
> >
> > > (c) for an application by a corporation—

> > > > (i) include the name and contact details of a person nominated by the corporation to be the contact person for the purposes of the registration, and
> > >
> > > > (ii) include the following details for each close associate of the applicant—
> > > >
> > > > > (A) the close associate’s name,
> > > >
> > > > > (B) the close associate’s date and place of birth,
> > > >
> > > > > (C) the close associate’s residential address, and
> >
> > > (d) be accompanied by any other document or information required by the Authority for the application, and

> > > (e) be accompanied by the fee, if any, prescribed by the regulations.

> > (2A) If an application for the grant of a renewal of registration is duly made to the Authority before the registration ceases to have effect, the registration is taken to continue in force until the Authority notifies the applicant of a decision to renew the registration or refuse to renew the registration.
>
> > (2B) The Authority may refuse to accept an application for the grant of a renewal of registration if the application is made more than 8 weeks before the registration ceases to have effect.
>
> > (2C) The Authority may exempt an applicant from the requirement under subsection (2)(d) if, at the time the application is made, the Authority already holds the information.

> > (3) (Repealed)
