Tasmania regulation
These regulations say that, under the Collections for Charities Act 2001 (s4(j)), a religious organisation may lawfully solicit donations by appealing to its adherents or to people who have attended its religious services. The rule takes effect on 17 August 2021 and therefore chiefly affects religious bodies that fundraise and the individuals they approach, by clarifying when soliciting falls within the Act’s authorised conduct.
