#### 13 Requirement for coastal management programs 13 Requirement for coastal management programs > > (1) A local council may, and must, if directed to do so by the Minister, prepare a coastal management program in accordance with this Part. > > > > Note— > > > > See sections 20 and 30 regarding a failure of the local council to comply with a direction of the Minister. > > > (2) A coastal management program may be made in relation to the whole, or any part, of the area included within the coastal zone. > > > (3) A direction under this section may specify the time within which the direction must be complied with.
