291 Registrar's power to require lodgment (cf Corporations Act s 321) (1) The Registrar may give a co-operative a direction to lodge with the Registrar a copy of reports prepared or obtained by it under Divisions 3 – 6, and the co-operative must comply with the direction. (3) The direction must: (a) be made in writing; and (b) specify the period or periods concerned; and

Co-operatives (National Uniform Legislation) Act 2015 188 (c) be made no later than 6 years after the end of the period or periods; and (d) specify the date by which the documents have to be lodged. (4) The date specified under subsection (3)(d) must be at least 14 days after the date on which the direction is given.
