sec.510 Return of seized things
An inspector must return a seized thing to its owner at the end of— 6 months; or if proceedings for an offence involving it is started within the 6 months—the proceedings and any appeal from the proceedings. Despite subsection (1) , the inspector must return the seized thing to the person immediately the inspector stops being satisfied its retention as evidence is necessary.
