#### 515 Obstruction of inspectors 515 Obstruction of inspectors > > (1) A person must not obstruct an inspector, or a person helping an inspector, in the exercise of a power under this Law, unless the person has a reasonable excuse. > > > > Maximum penalty—$12,000 or imprisonment for 1 year, or both. > > > (2) If a person obstructs an inspector in the exercise of a power under this Law and the inspector decides to exercise the power, the inspector must warn the person. > > > (3) In warning the person, the inspector must tell the person— > > > > > (a) it is an offence to obstruct the inspector, unless the person has a reasonable excuse; and > > > > > (b) the inspector considers the person’s conduct is an obstruction. > > > (4) In this section— > > > > obstruct includes hinder and attempt to obstruct.
