#### 497 Inspector’s appointment conditions 497 Inspector’s appointment conditions > > (1) An inspector holds office on the conditions stated in the instrument of appointment. > > > (2) An inspector— > > > > > (a) if the appointment provides for a term of appointment—stops holding office at the end of the term; and > > > > > (b) if the conditions of appointment provide—stops holding office when the inspector stops holding another office stated in the appointment conditions (the main office); and > > > > > (c) may resign by signed notice of resignation given to the Registrar. > > > (3) However, an inspector may not resign from the office under this Law (the secondary office) if a term of employment to the main office requires the person to hold the secondary office.
