#### 216 Notice of appointment or cessation of appointment of directors and officers to be lodged with Registrar 216 Notice of appointment or cessation of appointment of directors and officers to be lodged with Registrar > > (1) A co-operative must give notice to the Registrar under this section of the appointment of a person as a director, chief executive officer or secretary of the co-operative or a subsidiary of the co-operative, and of the cessation of the appointment. > > > (2) The notice must— > > > > > (a) be in the approved form; and > > > > > (b) be given within 28 days after the appointment or cessation of appointment; and > > > > > (c) state the particulars prescribed by the National Regulations of the appointment or cessation of appointment. > > > (3) An offence based on subsection (2) is an offence of strict liability. > > Maximum penalty—$2,000.
