#### 14 Pecuniary penalty orders (Co-operatives National Law s 556) 14 Pecuniary penalty orders (Co-operatives National Law s 556) > > (1) For the purposes of section 556 (2) of the [Co-operatives National Law (NSW)](/view/html/inforce/current/act-2012-29a), a pecuniary penalty ordered to be paid in this jurisdiction is to be paid and treated in accordance with this section. > > > (2) The penalty is a civil debt payable to the Registrar on behalf of the State. > > > (3) The Registrar or the State may enforce the order as if it were an order made in civil proceedings against the person to recover a debt due by the person. > > > (4) The debt arising from the order is taken to be a judgment debt.
