#### 112 Qualification for membership 112 Qualification for membership > > (1) A person is not qualified to be admitted to membership of a co-operative unless— > > > > > (a) there are reasonable grounds for believing the person will be an active member of the co-operative; and > > > > > (b) the person is otherwise eligible under the rules of the co-operative. > > > (2) The rules of a co-operative must contain provisions that— > > > > > (a) impose a duty on all persons who become members to be active members; and > > > > > (b) set out the consequences of failing to be, or ceasing to be, an active member.
