#### 159 Object The object of this Part is to maintain energy security with the introduction of this Act and the associated provisions. It does so by providing transitional assistance in respect of highly emissions‑intensive generation assets so as to: (a) help generators that face sizeable losses in the value of their assets; and (b) support investor confidence, and underpin the investment in generation assets that is required to ensure that Australia’s future energy security needs are met.
