Comment about appropriate level of ISV 31 to 45 An ISV at or near the bottom of the range will be appropriate in a straightforward case of a below-knee amputation with no complications. An ISV at or near the top of the range will be appropriate if there is an amputation close to the knee joint, leaving little or no stump for use with a prosthesis.
